«Hello Hannes»

The automatic watch «Zurich» from NOMOS Glashütte is Hannes Wettstein's final watch production. To commemorate the largest Wettstein exhibition, the watch manufacturer is now launching a limited special edition of this model: Wettstein's watch design with a radical face.

That this watch ticks in memory of its creator is recognizable by the small print «Hello Hannes» which replaces the usual «Made in Germany». Only 50 pieces of the special model «Hello Hannes» will be produced. For orders contact: s.bodenmann@studiohanneswettstein.com

The watch can be seen at Nomos Glashütte on Spiegelstrasse 13 in Zurich from October 1 to November 5, 2011 as part of a Studio Hannes Wettstein exhibition.

«SPIDER890!»

In 1988 Hannes Wettstein drew the design for the Spider stool, which he worked on for almost thirty years. The Franziska Kessler Gallery will now, in cooperation with Studio Hannes Wettstein, issue a posthumous version of the Spiders. An Ultimate Edition, so to speak, that Wettstein freshly interpreted for the Franziska Kessler Gallery in 2007 but was never able to bring to realization. «Spider890!» will elicit an exciting dialogue when it is shown together with older prototypes and series models. The Franziska Kessler Gallery edition will be produced in a small series, each with four examples (plus two artist editions.) Teo Jakob will produce a special edition of 107 Spiders whose surface areas are coated with bakelite. Exhibition: October 5 - November 3, 2011. Exhibition Opening: Tuesday, October 4 2011, 6 pm, c/o Teo Jakob, Neumarkt 11, Zurich.
